The patio looks straight out at the Great South Bay, with nothing in between. Next door, the Shorefront Band Shell hosts concerts, and you can watch the whole show from your chair. Most evenings end the same way here: the sun going down over the water.

A little ranch, remodeled with care

About 600 square feet of open-concept living on a quarter acre. Two bedrooms (a queen and a double), a sofa bed in the living room, and one remodeled bathroom. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a farm sink, a butcher block countertop, and strong natural light.

    The terminal is about half a mile away, roughly a 4 minute drive. Water taxis also serve Fire Island.

The driveway fits 2 to 3 cars. Street parking is not permitted by the town, and please do not park on the lawn area in front of the house.
